Home Sweet Home...

I guess as you all know... The guys made it home safely! I have a ton of pictures that I will be uploading as soon as I can. Adam got home after 9 Monday night. The girls were sooo excited to see him and I was too. He came in and showed us a ton of pictures and gave the girls all of the gifts he had brought back... he brought them back some Mexican candy. I took 3 years of Spanish and couldn't read all of it, but he busted open a lollipop and handed it to Taylor. She started saying gross it burns, it burns... Well I read the what I could on the label and it was a mango flavored lollipop with chili season... YUCK!!! He had no idea what he bought ;) As for you that have been praying for safety and the men... THANK YOU!

Okay so I was wrong in a previous post... The guy that I said was the driver was actually the cook and this pic is of their driver...

We talked to Adam last night and everyone is fine and doing well. Last night the men did a little shopping after work. I can't wait to see what Adam bought. Let me tell you shopping is not what he is good at ;)
At home:
Tomorrow we have a big day! Both Tillery and Taylor have ball games so if any of you would like to come out and support them please do! Go Lady Bugs! (Thankfully they both have the same team name this year! So I can wear one shirt all day! :) ) Taylor got her report card yesterday and she received all A's.... YAY TAYLOR!!! We are tired and miss Adam.... and ready for the men to return home safely!

Tuesday

A van full of white men were pulled over and checked for passports...

Here are a few pics of the place that the guys are working....

Adam said that yesterday was a good day overall. Adam fell yesterday from the roof. He said that he banged up his ankle and hip pretty bad. Thankfully and unthankfully he said that Danny Arnold was standing underneath him. What he said happened was that he was leaning over on a beam and it was rotten and broke and he fell face first from about 8 feet or so. He said his nose hit the back of Danny's head which was the bad part for Danny but thankfully he was there so adam didn't nose dive into the concrete. This morning he said he was little sore but okay. He sent a couple of pictures of his ankle but I can't get them to copy to my computer. So I will try to upload them later.

AMEN

Just wanted to let you know that the men have their luggage...

MISSION UPDATE FROM MONDAY 15TH

We talked to Adam last night and again this morning. All is well other than the fact that they have no luggage. The airline has promised that this will be delivered today. He said that they flew in to Mexico City. He said that it was disgusting. He literally said that it smelled like urine and that trash was piled up in mountains along the streets. He said that they took the "Mystery Machine"

to Taluncingo by their new friend.. I am not sure if I am spelling this right but he told me that his name is Louis..<>

He said that he drives REALLY fast and that there are no stop signs. So everyone is just going fast everywhere.

Here are a couple of pics in the streets where they are staying...<><>

He said they had a great dinner... Well he said it was good but they were all starving and tired.<>

<>

For those of you who watch Cake Boss... Adam said this was the Mexican version!

He said the hotel was okay. There is no air condition or heater. He said it is like a real nice Boone's motel. They are right on the street so they can hear everything. There is a courtyard in the middle of the hotel and that all the birds in the city gather there ;)

<>On the homefront:
Tillery had her first game last night. She lost interest in it a few times. We didn't win but we did good. It is always fun watching that age play. It was freezing but fun. Taylor had practice and is getting ready for her opening day this weekend. Tillery had to be picked up this morning from school and is sick (throwing up), so she is with my mom today. The girls read their letter from Adam last night and miss him.

Here are a few photos of the flight that Adam sent:

??Luggage??

Adam called around 6:30 to let me know that they had arrived in Mexico... Unfortunately the luggage did not! None of the 11 men have their luggage... Please pray that their luggage makes it to them...

quick update

Adam called around 3:30 and they were on the plane in Dallas getting ready to fly to Mexico. He sent a pic of the plane that he said was smaller than the other one. I will upload it later. As for now I am on the way out the door for Tillery's game and Taylor's practice... GO LADYBUGS!!!!

mission update

On their way to Texas! Adam's exact words..."WOW! Crop Duster...lol"

Mission Update

So Adam asked me to keep you guys updated on the mission trip... Adam got everything packed last night and we got him off EARLY this morning. Please be in prayer for all of the GABC men who will be working in Mexico this week. They left the church after 7 this morning and drove to ATL.

I spoke with Adam a few minutes ago and they had made it through security and it was not bad and were waiting to board the plane.... This is Adam's first trip and he is a bit NERVOUS!!!

On the homefront.... As we were leaving this morning for work I destoyed Taylor's bike. The bike was left laying behind my vehicle. Anyways calamity #1 over and done with and the rest of the week is going to be a great week.

Stay in prayer for our men and I will keep you updated as I can!

TONS OF PICTURES

Last night I finally had time to upload new pictures on the computer. AND LET ME JUST SAY WOW!!!! Since January we had taken 892 pictures. I was going to blog about a few things from the last 2 months that were really near and dear to us but it took way to long to upload all the pictures and separate them in folders. SO you will see the posts in the near future...things to come, Taylor won Miss Lakewood on the Green for 2nd grade, the Father /Daughter dance, Valentines, My Dad's B'day, Heart of the community awards, and this is just a few things in the last couple of weeks... We have been so busy since ball is now in full swing, practice 4 times a week between the two girls and opening day is next weekend! I had to go ahead and share one picture with you, it couldn't wait. I took this picture of the girls before the Father/Daughter dance and I just couldn't wait to share...
